| GGHG Riding Club Home Page The Governor General's Horse Guard's Riding Club is composed of some 100 members, primarily adults, drawn together by our enjoyment of horses and horseback riding. Whether you want to fulfill a life-long dream of learning to ride, or are an experienced horse person wishing to socialize and ride with others, or are interested in military riding with the cavalry squadron, the club likely has something to offer you. Founded in 1948, The Governor General's Horse Guards Riding Club draws on a still longer regimental tradition stretching back to 1810. Many new riders, experienced and beginners, have passed through the Club's doors since its beginnings – and many of those same members are still active with us today. In recent years, we have added programs for children and an active Summer Camp Program geared separately for adults and children.
